Charcoal Face Mask | DIY

I’m sure you have all heard of the charcoal face mask that is taking the beauty world by storm, and if not- where the hell have you been?

The different variations of these mask come with a ton of promises such as clearer skin, tighter skin, smaller pores & no blackheads. I mean, yes, sign me up! But, sometimes these masks can get pretty expensive.

And that, is where the DIY masks come in. These have also been circulating around the beauty community and I have never actually tried them mainly because I was terrified. But I finally plucked up the courage, bought the items & made the mask.

I’m going to be sharing the ingredients, process & how I felt down below, so keep reading.

Ingredients:

– activated charcoal capsules

– non toxic glue (liquid)

First off, it gets very messy so be sure and wear something you don’t really care about getting stained. Secondly, I’m awful at measuring things out so this is all going to be an estimate.

Taking a bowl, you want to pour in 1/4 cup of glue. Then take 3 charcoal capsules, unscrew them and empty into bowl. Stir well until no powder is leftover visible.

Be sure to wash your face before doing this, preferably steam your face too, this will open your pores. Take an old makeup brush, or whatever you’d like and apply an even layer to your face. Avoid baby hairs, eyebrows and all other hair you don’t want gone (it WILL pull it out) also avoid under the eyes as it pulls dreadfully. Leave until fully dry and then peel off.

My experience wasn’t the most pleasant thing in the world. It hurts, not gonna lie. And it pulls the crap of your face, and I’m not talking about the dirt here. It literally pulls so much on your face. But would I do it again? Absolutely.

It got everything, despite how sore it was, my skin has never been clearer and I would recommend it.

Thank you so much for reading, I found you enjoyed please like and follow my blog so you never miss a post. Also leave me a comment down below if you try this mask out, or if you have already. I will be doing a giveaway once I reach 50 followers sonnet sure to follow me if you’d like Ike to win!

March Favourites | Favourites

I know we have not yet reached the end of March, however, I feel that any product I fall in love with between now and April probably would be better suited in my April favorites, so, I don’t feel as guilty about being a week early.

Honestly, this month I wasn’t loving as many products as I usually would. Money was short this month as I’m just your typical broke nineteen-year-old and I didn’t do much shopping. In fact, most of my favorites this month were products I had purchased months prior and completely forgot about, you know, as you do. So without further ado, here are my March Favourites.

Nyx Highlight & Contour Pro Palette.

I’ve had my eye on this palette for so, so long and I don’t actually know why it took me so long to get round to buying it, but of course, I’m behind in everything so naturally it took me longer than everyone else.

I adore this palette, particularly the shade ice queen and sculpt (if you’re a fellow pale skinned creature you’ll appreciate these shades) It’s not an overly powdery palette, in my opinion, the shades are all easy to blend, smooth and extremely pigmented.

The only thing that annoys me about this product is how flimsy the packaging feels. I’m never home on weekends so I get the train twice a week and I’ve never been able to leave home without placing the product back in its box because I’m so scared it’ll fall apart. But aside from that, I bloody love this. You can purchase the palette here.

Soap & Glory Love At First Blush.

This was a product that I recently discovered hiding in my makeup collection and have no memory buying, but it was a great find. My shade is in Pink, Pop & Pearl and it is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever laid eyes on. Soap & Glory win when it comes to packaging every time but the inside product is a shimmering dream. Of course, because it is so shimmery, it doubles as a highlight (unless you’re me because I like to glowwww) so it’s really a two in one type product.

As for how the product actually performs, it’s amazing, again, so blendable, buildable and not powdery at all. Not to mention how affordable it is. Soap & Glory are honestly my favourite drug store brand, You can purchase the blush here.

No7 Airbrush Away Primer

I’ve been on the lookout for a good, affordable primer for some time now & I think I’ve finally found what I’m looking for. This primer promises to fade the appearance of wrinkles and minimise pores, and although I can’t vouch on the wrinkle promise, I can definitely vouch on the minimising of pores. It fills in pores like nothing I’ve ever used before and is also really lightweight. The moisturising feel you get when applying is amazing and is probably one of my favourite things about the primer. The packaging is beautiful; simple and very classy, just what I love. You can buy the primer here and I would highly recommend doing so.

Naked 3 Palette

This is something I recently fell in love with all over again after it became lost in my collection and that is, of course, the very well known Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay. Naked 3 has always been my favourite naked palette & I’m so glad I’m using it again. The shades are buttery and soft and blend out amazing. In my opinion, it is well worth the price as the palette itself lasts a long time & with the right primer, the shadows last for ages as well. The shades are beautiful, anything pinky toned I love and the packaging is fabulous. I’m not going to go on any more about this because I’m sure everyone knows about the palette by now. You can purchase it here.

Essence Long Lasting Lipstick & Liner

The last item on my favourite list that I’ll be speaking about is Essence long lasting lipstick in number 13 and lip liner in 12 wish you were here.Essence is one of my absolute adorn drugstore brands. The pricing is fabulous, the packaging is super cute & the quality of the products is amazing. Their lipsticks have always been a love of mine so it came as no surprise to me that this one has become a staple in my makeup bag. The shade is beautiful cool toned pink that glides across your lips so easily. What I love most is how buttery and long lasting these lipsticks are. As for the liner, I’ve bought liners from the drugstore that are super scratchy, but that’s not the case with Essence liners. Again, they’re smooth and long lasting and the shade range is amazing. You can find the products here.

Going Out Makeup Look | Looks

Today I’m gonna talk you through my “going out” make up look. I’m nineteen years old, I’m gonna go out. I like to go out on a Saturday night and dance. That’s my favourite part. And honestly, I dont really wear makeup except for when I go out. So I do the whole hog when it comes time to go out.

so without further ado, here it is!

1. To start I prep my skin with No7 airbrush primer and I find it works extremely well. For foundation my go to right now has been Catrice HD. It stays on all night and works amazing. Then, I move in with Collection concealer in fair.

2. Next, I move on to eyes and today I used the w7 palette in the night. Taking the shade top hat I buffed that into my crease and then deepened it with razzmatazz.  Using blackheart from Nakedness 3, I blend that into my outer v.  Using Lady Luck from the same w7 palette, I take that over the entire lid. Blending everything together to make it seamless.

3. I picked up the giant bronzer Sunkissed by Lucy and added some glow to my face. Then taking the NYX highlight and contour pro palette, I used the shade Sculpt to add dimension to my face. Next I took w7 blush from the cheeky trio in 5th avenue and added some colour back to my cheeks. Lastly I used ice queen from the same NYX palette on the high points of my face.

4. I picked up top hat and razzmatazz from the w7 palette and  blended it out under my lash line before adding some Lash Sensational mascara and topping off with Primark lashes in Natural.

5. To finish off, I use Essence lip liner in wish me a rose and their lipstick in 13. I also use Soap & Glory Supercat liner.

thank you so much for reading. If you enjoyed, please like and follow my blog. Also leave me a comment telling me what your going out look is!

Who Would Like To Collab?

To officially kick off my new blog I’ve decided that I want to collab with a fellow newbie blogger, mainly because people are forever telling me how fun it is and that you can meet amazing people through it, etc. I know how scary it can be to start a blog, because, I have had other blogs before this, and having a support network of friends who are in the same boat is so important. If you want your blog to be a success in general, making friends with others online is highly recommended. And it would make the whole newbie process seem a little less daunting.

So, if there are any new bloggers or just bloggers out there who want to collab on anything beauty related, please feel free to email me. I would love to hear from you and I would absolutely love to collab. My email address is chloeantonia1@gmail.com

Have a fabulous day! X

Essence My Must Haves | First Impressions

Guys I found the best find in Primark or Penny’s if you live in Ireland like me. I’m not sure how long these shadows have been on the market but it is my first time coming across them.

The shadows are called my must haves and they are from the brand Essence. What’s cool about them is there are two different palettes that you can fill with these shadows.

I chose the 4 palette to start but there was also an 8pan. The four pan and all the shadows are only €1.90! How amazing is that?

So I’ve decided to share the four colours I chose, and I chose these for a special reason so who knows, maybe you’ll get to see a look revolving around them!

The first shade is tiffunny which is a gorgeous silver eyeshadow, it’s just full of glitter! When the time comes that I get to sweep this across my eye, it shall be a great day!

Next up is raspberry frosting and again it’s full of glitter. The only thing that makes it better? It’s pink glitter!

Purple clouds is up next and as the name suggests, it’s purple. Although it’s still a shimmer shadow it is definitely the most matte like out of the the four I picked up. Still just as excited to use it though!

Lastly is have a n’ice day. It is This beautiful icy blue shade. And it was actually my boyfriend who picked it out, must say he has good taste because judging by appearance only, I think this may be my favourite.

Of course I still need to test the products and I promise a review will come once I do. If you enjoyed this post be sure to follow my blog so you never miss a post!

Everyday Makeup Look | Looks

I never do my makeup everyday. Honestly, I don’t see the point. So when I do get round to doing it, I like to go all out (but nothing too dramatic) so I thought I would talk you through my everyday makeup routine.

1. No7 Airbrush Away Primer

to start off, I prep my skin with the No7 primer, which is honestly fantastic. I would highly recommend it!

2. Catrice HD Liquid Foundation & Collection Concealer

next I take my foundation all over my face with the real techniques buffing brush and then I take the collection concealer in fair under the eyes and buff it in with the same brush.

3. Bronzer and NYX Contour Pro Palette.

this is when I bring a bit of colour back to my face using any bronzer that’s closer to hand. Today, that was Sunkissed by Lucy which is a huge and gorgeous bronzer. Next to add some dimension I use my NYX pro palette and take the shade sculpt and lightly contour my cheekbones.

4. Sleek Blush & Nyx Highlight

moving on to blush and my fav right now is an oldie but it’s the sleek blush from the face contour kit. It’s the most beautiful blush with specks of gold scattered throughout. Then picking up ice queen from the same NYX palette, I lightly dust the high points of my face.

5. Urban Decay Naked 3 & Nyx

i keep it pretty simple for the eyes, using sculpt yet again in my crease and darkening it with toffee from the same NYX palette. I then take strange from the naked 3 and sweep that across my lid, and then take dust to add a little sparkle.

6. Soap &a Glory Gloss Stick

to finish off the look I take soap and glory gloss stick in nudist, which is a beautiful pinky shade that I think is perfect for a natural looking lip.

as you can tell I am not a makeup artist, nor am I trying to say I am. Just thought it would be fun to share some of my fav products right now!

Leave me know your fav products to use everyday and don’t forget to follow my blog if you enjoyed, x

Primark PS Skin Care | First Impressions

Today I will be speaking about something that I’ve been quite curious about for a while now and that’s Primark’s skin care range. I have very sensitive skin when it comes to skin care and although I love finding cheap makeup brands, I can never be too sure when it comes to skin care.

In saying that, Primark had to have the cutest packaging on their products (I’m a sucker for cute packaging) so of course, I had to pick it up. And although my skin may resemble something similar to a tomato in a few days, I will be trying them out, because, well I must like the pain of inflamed skin. Jokes, kind of.

So the first product I picked up was the Face The Day moisturizer. It says that it’s oil free, has cucumber and witch hazel & is suitable for normal/combination skin types. I have tried this out, and although it left my face feeling super smooth and not at all oily, it is very scented which sometimes irritates my skin, but the scent is gorgeous so I’m not complaining too much. Also, can we all please appreciate how summery this packaging looks?

Next, I picked up the Love To Glow face mask. I am not one to judge at all when it comes to cheaper products- most of holy grails are from the drugstore, but as soon as I took the tub out of the box I knew we weren’t going to get along well. Even my mom said I was going to break out badly. Something about the colour unsettled me, or maybe it was something else about the product but I just felt really nervous putting it on my face.

Again, it smells amazing, but I don’t know how well it will go down with my skin. Honestly, I was really surprised at how nice my skin felt afterward. It was very nice and I’m excited to use it again.

I also picked up the Lovely and Bubbly foaming facial wash. I’ve used this twice now and I already know I will not be able to use it,unfortunately. It has really irritated my skin, which is a shame because it is actually a good face wash. It does a great job at taking off your makeup, especially when paired with the next product I’ll be speaking about.

This face wash is very strong in scent, even more than the rest and I really think that is probably why my skin has reacted so bad. So, if you do have a problem with scented products I’d stay away from this but if not, I’d go for it because it is nice despite the burning face and all.

The last product I will be speaking about and my personal favourite, the Easy On The Eyes makeup remover. I love, absolutely love finding an inexpensive makeup remover that is good. And I’ve only used this twice and I can already tell I will be repurchasing.

I was astonished at how well it broke down my eye makeup. It was fab, really. It is very oily compared to some other eye makeup removers, but just give your eyes a quick pat with a paper towel and you’re fine. Out of all the products, I would recommend this the most, but I will be doing a full review on everything (except the facial wash) in a few weeks after I have properly tested the products.

Thank you so much for reading, please, leave me know if you have ever tried Primark skin care, and if so, what is your favourite product from the link? All of the products mentioned can be found on Primark’s website, be sure to check it out if you are interested.
